Welcome to the Annapolis Valley Happy Tails Pet Directory.

In 2010 we were proud to present the First Annual Happy Tails Pet Services Directory to great acclaim and with great success. The booklet was a hit with pet owners and pet professionals throughout the valley.

This year, we want to grow our website to become a resource for many people and pet related businesses in the Annapolis Valley for promotions, events and things you can do with your 4 legged family members. Stay active and have fun with your pets in the valley.

A Little History:

Peter and I have been helping keep pets safe at home throughout the Annapolis Valley for over seven years. We travel throughout the valley meeting pet owners and their wonderful pets. We are constantly being asked for references for all manner of pet related services. And we found that there was no place anyone could go, to get a comprehensive listing of pet services available – So we made one!!

What was really brought to the forefront as we waded through the many client submissions this year was how many of the photos were of rescued dogs who have been given a second chance by a loving family and their lifestyle enhanced by Invisible Fence Brand.

That is how we got into this business in the first place; over 20 years ago, we had an SPCA rescue and a second hand pure bred who both came to us well after the puppy stage with bad habits learned long before we were in their lives.

Being novice pet owners ourselves, we went through several rounds of obedience training (with limited results) and figured we would just have to live with their behavior. Oh, they pulled the dog hair over our eyes. But it is a different story today. We now know that with a little professional help, a good safe yard to burn off energy and a positive attitude, any dog can become the dog of our dreams.

Enjoy our book and website and meet some local pet professionals that will help to enhance your life with your pet. From professional one-on-one training; to finding that special toy or handmade collar or jacket just for your buddy. We have many great local resources listed which will help make your life with your pet stress free and enjoyable.

The success of our 2010 edition has encouraged us to continue building the pet community in the Annapolis Valley this year. This Directory will still distribute through all pet professionals showcased in the magazine, vet offices, pet boarding facilities, pet stores, pet trainers, breeders, pet food suppliers, retailer, groomers, pet rescue operations and adoption agencies, until the supplies are depleted.

However, this website will be updated regularly and we encourage you to add it to your favorites for local pet resources and check our calendar for upcoming pet related events, shelter fund raisers and open houses. And if you know of any events, please send them along for our calendar and we can also mention it on our facebook site.

Make sure you “Like us” on FaceBook too!!!!

All photos on this website are supplied by happy Invisible Fence Brand clients and their pets - we thank you for submitting and we apologize if we could not fit your photos in the printed directory.

We hope that you find the information helpful and encourage your feedback should you have any questions or notice any errors.

Please feel free to contact either Peter or myself at anytime. Your feedback is appreciated.

Thank you
